We had a go at designing art work in the style of Marnie Baker by using ink on a variety of objects such as potatoes and corrugated card.
As the general election was getting closer, in class we learned about how an election works, and how a government is formed. We watched some of the real manifestos, and then in small groups we formed our own party where we made a manifesto based on issues that are close to us such as education and defence in the UK. At the end, we each voted for the party of our choice, which showed democracy.
As part of our science topic on ‘living things and their habitats’, we have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. Luckily, we have been able to have our own caterpillars in class, and at the moment they are at the pupa stage of the life cycle. We cannot wait for the butterflies to emerge from the pupa (hopefully in the next few days!) Watch out here for updates!
